Dubai, Jan 10: It was laughter riot at the Indian High School Sheikh Rashid Auditorium on Friday January 8 as the legendary King of Comedy Johnny Lever and his daughter Jamie treated the audience to a memorable evening of top class humour and entertainment.
The event was the much-awaited 'Dhoom Dhamaka 2016', organized for the third time by Harish Sherigar, managing director of Acme Building Materials and singer.
The houseful show was a comedy fest from the beginning to the end, with Johnny Lever and Jamie ensuring that not a single moment went by without laughter. Johnny Lever was at his best as usual but the additional beauty was that all the comedy acts he presented had some social messages in them.
Johnny Lever was welcomed with a thunderding applause and whistles from the crowd. Johnny Lever, among other acts, also presented his very popular skit of ‘search’. He enacted how various film actors ‘search’ for particular things while dancing. He sent a humorous but plain message that some dances are not dances at all, but just searches. Every word and step of this skit was enjoyed by the crowd.
Johnny Lever started his comedy after greeting the crowd in Tulu by saying “Encha Ullar? Mather soukyana?” ( How are you all? Fine? ). Jamie Lever and Gaurav Sharma, other comedians of the show simply excelled in their comedy too.
Dancers Prathama Prasad Rao and Surya N Rao of international fame performed dance skits. They presented Indian dances like Kuchipudi, Kathak in different styles and pleased the classical dance lovers. Harish Sherigar, Akshatha Rao, Vijaya Bhat entertained the crowd with their beautiful songs.
The show 'Dhoom Dhamaka 2016' was inaugurated by Abdul Gafar, Mehta, Vijay Nehlani, Naren Savlani, Sunil Grower, Michael, Herman Lewis from Radio Spice, Praveen Shetty from Fortune group, Sarvothama Shetty from Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, Harish Sherigar, Sharmila Sherigar, Akshatha Sherigar and Amshul Sherigar by lighting the lamp.
The show was compered by Radio Jockeys Ved, Karim and Earl Joseph.
