Mangaluru, Jan 12: Karavali Konkans will release a devotional Konkani music album titled 'Prerann' on the grand occasion of the Golden Claud Nite on January 17. 'Prerann' in Konkani means inspiration.

All the 10 hymns in the album have been newly composed and tuned by the inimitable compere and artiste Leslie Rego.

The entire music track has been directed and arranged by Pappan and Joswin while the harmonization has been done by Alwyn Noronha, Bajpe.

Leslie Rego, in his maiden musical album, has worked with experienced singers, musicians and technicians in the music field. Renowned Konkani singers Ivan Sequeira, Claud D'Souza, Galdin D'Souza, Shilpa Cutinha, Babitha Pinto, Munita Rao, Couple Kiran and Asha Menezes and Shallon Pinto have rendered their voices along with the chorus singers. Jeniffer Lobo, Asha Menezes, Royston D'Souza, Kiran Menezes, Deepak Pinto, Reena Noronha, Sonali Noronha, Shanthi Pinto, Belisha Rego, Vanessa Monteiro, Sasha Menezes and Sonal Monteiro have sung the chorus.

Mixing and mastering has been done by Srinivas and Ashith Pinto at Daijiworld Audio Visuals Studio.

While most of the devotional CDs are produced by organisations led by the clergy, Karavali Konkans, a laity association plucking up the courage to produce this musical album is noteworthy.

Since inception, Karavali Konkans has been active in staging musical shows and Konkani dramas, production of Konkani musical albums and organizing literary events consistently. It has produced two CDs in the past 'Christmas Melodies' and 'Karavolle Voilim Bhangalli Podam'. 'Prerann' is the third album brought out by Karavali Konkans.The CD priced at Rs 100 is available at all leading Konkani music stores.

Sale proceeds of the CD will be utilized for the projects of St Sebastian Church, Bendore and for promoting Konkani art and drama by Karavali Konkans.
