RIP Rajesh Vivek: B-Town mourns 'wonderful', 'fine' actor's demise


Mumbai, Jan 15 (IANS): Bollywood celebrities like Rishi Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee have mourned the death of actor Rajesh Vivek, whom they described as a “wonderful”, “fine” and “brilliant" talent.

Rajesh, who was part of the entertainment industry for more than two decades, died following a heart attack in Hyderabad on Thursday. He was 66.

Known for his roles in films like "Lagaan", "Swades", “Veerana” and “Bandit Queen”, Rajesh was shooting in Hyderabad for a southern film, when he had a massive heart attack.

B-Town took to Twitter to express their grief:

Rishi Kapoor: Rajesh Vivek. Wonderful actor and a friend. RIP.

Anupam Kher: Saddened to know about the demise of my friend, senior in NSD (National School of Drama) and a very fine actor Rajesh Vivek. He was a Mast Maula in true sense. RIP..

Manoj Bajpayee: Really sad with the unexpected demise of Rajesh Vivek. May god bless his soul. His memories will always be with us. I was with him in 'Bandit Queen'.

Tigmanshu Dhulia: Our senior from NSD Rajesh Vivek passed away. Have great memories of him while doing 'Bandit Queen' RIP Rajesh bhai.

Ravi Kishan: Adhbhut (wonderful) actor Rajesh Vivek. May God bless his soul. RIP.

Ashoke Pandit: Sad to know about the demise of #RajeshVivek, one of the finest actors and a great human being. Lived a faqir's life. RIP.

Alok Nath: RIP Rajesh Vivek. Used to call him 'Prabhu'. keep the original entertained. will miss u big time 'Prabhu'.
