Udupi, Jan 15: Founder of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) Padmanabha Prasanna on Friday January 15 said that he was ready to release a CD of marriage between former chief minister Yeddyurappa, who was once the president of KJP, and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje, if he was given Z-plus security. He also demanded cancellation of the appointments of 11 MLAs as parliamentaryary secretaries by Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah claiming that there was corruption involved in the appointments.

Claiming that there was marriage between former CM Yeddyurappa and MP Shobha Karandlaje, he said he was ready to release their marriage CD anytime, if he was given adequate security. "I am ready to release the CD tomorrow itself but the chief minister should provide me Z-plus security. If Yeddyurappa and Shobha Karandlaje are not married, let them declare so in Dharmasthala. If they do that, I will retire from politics."

Giving details, he said, "They got married first in Rajarajeshwari Bhagavati Amma Temple in Kerala but on the advice of an astrologer, they married again in Tirupati after some days at 1 o'clock in the night. A former PA of Yeddyurappa gave me this CD as there was conflict between him and Shobha over the position of district in-charge minister Mysuru.

"I was kidnapped from my residence by the supporters of Yeddyurappa and taken to Delhi and Rajasthan, after which I filed a case in Bhadrapur police station. Why do fear the society? They should stop this drama," he added.

Demanding cancellation of the appointments of parliamentary secretaries, Prasanna said, "The appointment of the 11 parliamentary secretaries by the chief minister is a loss to the state treasury. Just to make 11 MLAs happy, he has appointed them as parliamentary secretraries - this is nothing but a case of corruption and lobbying. Parliamentary secretary is a ministerial position where the person gets vehicles, fuel, flight charges, house and other facilities by the government. This will incur a loss to the government.

"The governor should cancel their appointments as it is unconstitutional. Even West Bengal chief minister Mamatha Bannerjee had also made such appoinments, but the Kolkata high court had questioned and criticised. I have already filed a PIL in the Karnataka high court and notices have been issued to the 11 MLAs who have been appointed as parliamentary secretaries," he said.
