Addressing the gathering, he said, "Humanity binds all human beings together. The fragrance of equality should be spread through coexistence. The whole world has to move towards peace. World peace can be achieved when people live together in harmony."

Bengaluru Darul Uloom Sabeelur Rashad principal Mufti Mohammed Ashraf Ali Bukavi, Udupi district Qazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliyar, Kundapur leader Cheriabba Saheb, Bearys Group's Sayyed Mohammed Beary were present.

Muslim scholars who arrived from different parts of the country held Quran recitation session from 4 pm.

Nestled amidst the trees and plantations, the unique Badriya Juma Masjid is the world's first zero-energy eco-friendly green mosque. A green lawn is maintained around the mosque with mango, coconut and other trees. The date trees brought from Chennai have enhanced the scenic beauty.

Internationally renowned artiste Mukthar Ahmed, trained abroad in architecture, has attractively carved the verses from the Quran inside the mosque. Bearys Group which takes special initiatives on sustainable development has made the unique mosque a reality. The mosque is a revolutionary step blending Islamic architecture and sustainable technology.

An important feature of this green marvel is that its entire energy requirements is met through hybrid renewable energy, both wind and solar. The mosque shows how global temperatures can be brought down in times to come. The Mosque also presents a modern face of Islam aiming to promote harmony among all communities.

The natural factors are effectively used in the mosque to make it remain cool. It is surrounded by trees and water tank to maintain the temperature to the minimum. The L shaped building planning and elevated mosque auditorium has made it naturally remain cool.

Glass reinforced concrete is used in the construction making it get the maximum amount of air and light. With this the heat of the sunlight is reduced to a great extent. The cold air entering through 70 feet high minaret keeps the prayer hall cool. A wind turbine is installed on top of the minaret to produce electricity.

As the electricity produced exceeds the requirement, the extra electricity will be supplied to government grid. The mosque will be issued Certified Emission reduction credit for the next 25 years. It has got Prismatic Toto water connections.

There are indications that the mosque may be a tourist attraction. Hundreds of tourists from India and abroad are visiting here before the inauguration.
