Mangalore, Sep 7: The question of safety norms to be followed during construction again came to the fore with a wall in front of a commecial complex at Vishwa Bhavan opposite Girias electronics shop near old Hampankatta service bus stand collapsing on Thursday September 6 night.

The incident occurred around 9 pm. Even though the said place is normally a busy spot with dense crowd, fortunately there were no persons were around when the wall collapsed and hence there was no human injury.

The rickshaw owners and drivers were seen expressing anger over the incident

Sources said that there were a few people inside the complex while a part of it collapsed, but they were not hurt. The Bunder station police rushed to the spot and took action to steps to estimate the damage and control the situation.
