Udupi, Jan 24: Malpe beach has become the first beach in India to get free Wi-Fi connectivity.

MLA Pramod Madhwaraj launched the 24x7 Wi-Fi connectivity at Malpe beach here on Sunday, January 24.

After launching the facility, Madhwaraj said, "Malpe beach is a good place for spending time with friends and family. The Malpe beach committee is focusing on providing quality service in terms of sanitation facilities, parking system for tourists, maintaining cleanliness and so on."

"The committee has spent Rs 80 lac on beach development works. The beach committee constructed a watch tower recently for beach viewers. It has appointed six life guards, four workers for keeping the beach clean and three have been appointed to keep St Mary's Island neat and clean.

"The committee has also spent Rs 4 crore to Rs 5 crore on road development works and has purchased beach cleaning machine at a cost of Rs 70 lac," he added.

MLA Madhwaraj also assured to extend the hours of free Wi-Fi access. At present, free Wi-Fi is available for half-an-hour at the beach.

"It is a good news for youths. The present generation cannot live without internet or Wi-Fi access. Malpe beach is the first beach in India to have Wi-Fi facility, and this is a proud moment for all of us," he added.

Without promises there are developments from the graceful congress.

With mountainous promises no developments and all U-Turns from chaaiwaala.
    Stand-Up.
    And Start-Up.
    now it is Sit-Up.
    Later you Shut-Up.

    Dear Manoj Sequeira, Barkur/Johannesburg,
You are right there should have toilets for the tourists and visitors.
THERE IS A DEMERIT IF THE TOILETS ARE BUILT.

THERE ARE EVERY POSSIBILITIES OF MISS-UTILIZING THESE TOILETS FROM THE PUBLIC.

so u agree that you are one who ask "why bullet train only to ahmedabad, why not to mangalore"

OKay did you ask why motar cycle taxi is only for Bangalore, why not to Mangalore???? i hope it will not take 25 years rit?
But even after 25 year also you will not ask as CM is Congress MLA.

Estimated Completion for Bullet train is 2023. Now it is 2016.
If you use common sence 2023-2016 is not 25.
Only people who have common sence can calculate, not you.

secondly if i make list of moneey swallowed by congress may be u will take a day to read only, will not get time to comments.
do you know how much money swallowed by other politicians???
still when there is good work learn to appreciate also.

Do you know recently Mr. Sorake Inaugurated a project which took 35 year to complete???? may be forgot. just because of that project will you blame all govt projects??
if in 2023 BJP and Bullet train will disappear how u can say it will take 25 year to complete?
and more over if you are much sure that Bullet trail will disappear then why you demanding Bullet train to Mangalore?

Still you’ll find in plenty using and misusing it, such as sending a quick whatsapp message to his/her dear one when he/she is near some other one or say he’s in office while roaming on the beach, etc.
