On Sep 8 , Saturday 8.00 am the Monti Fest celebration was held at Christ the King Church, Manela , in Puttur Varado. Fr. Elias D'Souza, the Lecturer of St. Philomena College presided over the celebration. Rev. Fr. Benedict Rego conducted the blessing of the corns. The celebration began with a long procession on the public road and followed by the Eucharistic Celebration in the church. After the celebration the destribution of corns and sugar cane was done.
