Udupi: Man hailing from Bagalkot found dead, murder alleged

Udupi, Jan 26: A man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Nagabana near Karavali bypass here on Tuesday January 26.

The deceased has been identified as Karibasavaiah (50) from Bagalkot, who was living in the slum area in Udupi from past several years.

There were marks around his neck, indicating that he might have been strangled.

His brother Kanakaiah has alleged that he was murdered.

Sources said that there used to be frequent quarrels between Karibasavaiah and his wife.

He was doing coolie work in Udupi.

The body was taken to Manipal hospital for post-mortem.

Udupi town police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
