John Legend to perform at Obama's fundraiser


Los Angeles, Jan 27 (IANS): Singer John Legend will perform at a US President Barack Obama’s next fundraiser here on February 11.

According to an invite, Legend will give a performance at a fundraising reception in Hancock Park, reports variety.com.

Tickets start at $1,000 per person, and rise to $33,400 per couple. The money will go to the Democratic Hope Fund, a joint fundraising committee. The first $2,500 will go toward Obama’s 2012 campaign debt, and the remainder to the Democratic National Committee.

Obama will also attend a discussion and dinner that evening, with tickets starting at $10,000 per person. Those who buy tickets at the $33,400 level will also get to attend a meet and greet Obama, a photo reception and VIP seating.
