Dubai, Jan 27: Remitting back home every month is a usual affair for most of the expatriates but winning dollars for remitting was unheard till now. ‘Send money – win Dollars’ was one such campaign that enabled the customers to win dollars while remitting Dirhams home. Organised by UAE Exchange, the leading global remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, the campaign was part of its ‘winter promotion’. To be eligible, the customer had to remit twice during the promotion period at any of the UAE Exchange branches in the UAE.
The brand announced the winners of its ‘send money – win Dollars’ campaign through two electronic draws. The draws, conducted at the UAE Exchange offices in Dubai and Sharjah on January 18 and January 21 respectively, were supervised by the inspectors of respective economic development departments. Sala Uddin Mohammad Ishaque from Bangladesh won the mega prize of US$100,000. The grand prize of US$10,000 was conferred to five winners while fifty lucky winners won US$1000.
Also, present on the occasion were Fath Allah Abdulla Fath Allah (inspector, Dubai Economic Development, UAE), Varghese Mathew (country head, UAE Exchange- UAE), Mathai Vaidian (AVP- sales and services, UAE Exchange- UAE) and Kaushal Kishore Doshi (director- marketing, UAE Exchange- UAE).
Receiving an overwhelming response towards its first ‘winter promotion’ campaign conducted across the UAE, the brand witnessed participation from expatriates including Middle East, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Africa and other communities. “Our constant endeavour is to make our customers’ lives much easy and to provide them with opportunities through which they can achieve their aspirations. A delighted Ayman Al Jrab from Lebanon said, “It’s a great start to my new year and I am very happy to be a winner. Thank you UAE Exchange.” Ayman is one of the fifty lucky winners who won US$1000.
