Sidelined Siddu camp stays away from Hebbal during nomination filing

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 28: When Rehman Sharief, grandson of Congress stalwart, Jaffer Sharief, filed his nomination papers from Hebbal constituency for the bypoll here on Wednesday January 27, none among top Congress leadership was present. The camp loyal to chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, which is sulking at the way it was humiliated in its efforts to secure ticket for Byrathi Suresh, made no bones about its anger. None of the top leaders were present when Sharief filed his nomination.

Rehman Sharief filed his nomination papers at the office of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike office at J C Nagar on Wednesday afternoon. He was accompanied by a huge number of his fans, but prominent Congress leaders were conspicuous by their absence. State minister for transport, Ramalinga Reddy, and former MP, Narayana Swamy, were the only two politicians of some eminence who appeared at the venue.

Bengaluru urban development minister, K J George, who happens to be in-charge of Hebbal constituency, was among the absentees. It is gathered that when Rehman Sharief went to meet the CM at his official residence before filing nomination, he was made to wait for over 90 minutes. Sharief arrived at 'Kaveri', official residence of the CM, at around 9.30 am and waited for about one and half hours. His grandfather, Jaffer Sharief, too came there later. He exchanged pleasantries and had a few minutes of discussions with the CM before leaving to file his nomination papers.

Some sources said that Rehman Sharief arrived at the CM's residence without prior intimation. When the CM invited him to meet him, he said he would wait for the arrival of his grandfather. After Jaffer Sharief came there, he met the CM, it is being claimed.

Jaffer Sharief said that the CM extended best wishes to his grandson. He added that he had asked the CM to participate in the election campaigning for Rehman Sharief.

    Dear Politicians,
Whatever is your background?once you are politicians ,why can't you be as white(clean) as your outfit?Donot steal taxpayers money.Stop corruption. In India almost all the politicians get rich. This is the wrong indication to Indians.
The moment you get minsiter post your car changes, arrogance blooms, your way of talking changes. Why is that you can't be like our Highness Sheikh mohammed Bin Rashid Al makthoum and his son.So nice to all.Never stole people's money.Look at the roads here, malls, public toilets and of all the govt hospitals and their service.RTA service.Instead bribing why can't you impose fines to people.UAE is getting money this way.For spitting on Abudhabi roads 600dhs fine.for not crossing on zebra cross 600dhs fine. For crossing redsignals black points.
Even gulf countries are minting money from people but in a right way as penalty ,but look at your money minting is so illegal. Its injustice to Indians.

Sad and distressed Indian(who is listening since childhood INDIA IS A DEVELOPING COUNTRY)

Congress culture is different from other parties.High command decision is final to the party and CM can only suggest the candidate.Everything will be fine and during the elections all will actively participate and work for the candidate. No doubt.

CM should learn to take a "NO" from the High Command. The party should decide the candidate. Anyday the loyalty of Mr Jaffer Shariff is more than an outsider whom the CM supported. Now the CM should ensure the victory of the party candidate.

It is prooved time and again that congress is not listening to its party workers voice. The result is the pathetic situation of the party in the country. Now that its a high time for the party to evaluate and rectify its mistakes or else " Jo bhi hai vo bhi nikal jayega"

THIS TIME ALL THE 3 SEATS ARE GOING TO BJP BECUASE JDS FIELDED CANDIDATES AND JDS WILL GET SOME CONGRESS VOTES. SECONDLY, IF CONGRESS LOST ALL THE 3 SEATS, HIGH COMMAND WILL LEARN THE LESSON IF THEY GOES AGAINST SIDDU. INDIRECTLY SIDDU WILL BE HAPPY IF CONGRESS LOST ALL THE 3 SEATS.
