Kundapur: House gutted in fire; valuables, cash worth Rs 6 lac destroyed

Kundapur, Jan 28: A house belonging at Kirimanjeshwara was gutted in fire on Thursday, January 28, resulting in loss of valuables and cash to the tune of Rs 6 lac.

The house belonged to Venkatesha Subba Devadiga.

It is learnt that the owner of the house was constructing a new house and had kept Rs two lac cash in the house.

The cash and jewellery in the house were gutted in the fire resulting in a total loss of approximately Rs 6 lac.

Byndoor special tahsildar Kiran Gaurayya, Village accountant Laxmi N S, gram panchayat development officer Mahadeva Karantha, gram panchayat president Lalitha Kharvi, gram panchayat vice-president Shekhara Poojary and assistant Manju Devadiga visited the spot.
