Mangaluru: Lorry hits electric pole at Kuntikan, creates traffic jam

Mangaluru, Jan 29: A lorry hit an electric pole on the national highway no 66 at Kuntikan near A J hospital and as a result there was a traffic jam in city for about one and half hours.

The incident happened at around 4 am on Friday morning, January 29.





It is gathered that the driver of the lorry was drunk and was moving in the opposite direction. The over speeding lorry first hit the divider in front of A J hospital and then the eclectic pole.

Traffic police who arrived at the scene managed to clear the traffic after struggling for one and half hours.

The identity of the driver is yet to be known.
