Bollywood actors excited about 'The X-Files...' India premiere

Mumbai, Jan 29 (IANS): Actors like Kalki Koechlin and Ali Zafar are upbeat about the India premiere of "The X-Files: Event Series" -- a mini-series that's a revival of the iconic show which pioneered the paranormal sci-fi wave.

The show will air in India on Star World Premiere HD at 9 p.m. on Saturday.

"The X-Files" had developed a cult fan following right since its inception in 1992 all the way through to 2002. Now 13 years later, series creator Chris Carter has revived the series with a six-episode mini-series - 'The X-Files: Event Series", which comes as a treat for sci-fi fans.

Actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as Former FBI special agents who worked on The X-Files - strange and unexplained cases involving paranormal phenomena.

Just like fans all over the globe have shared their excitement, here is a quick look at what some Bollywood stars have to say:

Kalki Koechlin: I have loved 'The X-Files' since my childhood days. I was in love with Mulder (David Duchovny) and completely believed the truth was out here. I can’t wait to catch up with them again on television.

Gul Panag: I watched a lot of 'The X-Files' growing up and had the biggest crush on David Duchovny. And on Gillian Anderson. I met her in London a few weeks ago and was totally starstruck.

Ali Zafar: As a child, I used to be super-excited to watch 'The X-Files'. As a series, it mystified me as to how it kind of blended the human stories with supernatural elements. I am thrilled that they are back.

Dino Morea: I watched a lot of 'The X-Files' growing up and I am really excited that it is returning. The show has been a super mix of mystery and thrills. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were so great together onscreen throughout. I truly enjoyed their Mulder-Scully pairing. I am really happy they are finally back.
