Mangalore, Sep 10: The pumping of water from the tilted ship ‘Chang Le Men’ at Tannirbavi shore is continued on Monday September 10, sources said.

The officials, who are engaged in the Herculean task of steadying the ship, stated that the tilted ship is slowly recovering from its position by few inches since the pumping operation began.  They are optimistic of towing the ship to deep sea, once it recovers from its existing position, Capt Mohan Kudri, port officer at New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) said to ‘daijiworld.com.’

It may take few more days to drain the water fully. However, the shifting of cargo depends on the recovery of tilted ship, Capt Mohan Kudri added.
