Bangalore: Charming Sri Lankan Dance Troupe Promotes Trade Ties

Bangalore, Sep 11: A 40-strong delegation including a dance troupe from Sri Lanka is currently on an Indian tour to woo the business community with a view to promoting trade between the two countries.

The Sri Lankan Convention Bureau has taken the initiative to organize meetings, conventions and exhibitions for the purpose. As part of this drive, it held a road-show in Bangalore on Sunday.

The delegation includes hotel representives, tour operators and officals of the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau headed by Prema Coory. It had a day-long interaction with select corporate leaders of the city and the evening at the Taj West End saw a feast of Sri Lankan culture and cuisine .

The highlight of the party was sensuous dances by a group of Sri Lankan girls dressed in blue, the island nation's traditional costumes. A road-show was also held as part of the programme.
