Mangaluru, Feb 2: Jai Kumar Garg took over charge of public sector Corporation Bank having its head office in the city as its managing director and chief executive officer on Monday February 1. He was earlier functioning as executive director of United Commercial Bank.

Garg happens to be a chartered accountant and associate member of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. He is backed by the rich experience of having worked in different areas of banking field.

The new head of Corporation Bank had entered banking service in 1986 through Corporation Bank, to which he has returned as its head. He had functioned for the bank in various capacities at a number of centres like New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata including branches and administrative offices.

Jai Kumar Garg has in-depth expertise in the field of management of credit, recovery, foreign exchange, retail banking and administration. He has undergone a number of training programmes both within the country and abroad.
