Mangaluru: Three held for selling ganja to students, public

Mangaluru, Feb 2: Three persons were taken into custody from near Konaje Pattori by Konaje police personnel on Monday February 1. The accused have been charged with selling ganja to students and members of general public.

The arrested youngsters are Roshan Nikesh Menezes (24) from Alangaru Padyadka in Marpady village, Simple Kumar (24), resident of Konaje Pattori, and Prakash D'Souza from Adyapady Kolambe. One kilogram of ganja was recovered from the arrested people.

The policemen said that another accused succeeded in slipping away during the raid.

The raid was conducted by Konaje police inspector, Ashok P, police sub-inspector, Sudhakar, and other personnel of Konaje station under the guidance of city police commissioner, Chandra Sekhar, deputy commissioners of police, Shantharaju and Sanjeev Patil, and assistant commissioner of police, Kalyan Shetty.
