Beltangady: ICYM Madanthyar holds Youth Nite

Beltangady, Feb 6: The Indian Catholic Youth movement of Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar unit celebrated the Youth Nite -2016 on Sunday, 31st January at the church premises.






































The programme begin with the Youth rally from Madanthyar town. In his inaugural address Fr Clifford Pinto, the Assistant Parish Priest of Valencia Church inspired the youth to be messengers of mercy and change. Fr Clifford Pinto waved off the huge rally. With the fire show and Nasik band the rally marched forward. Hundreds of parishioners joined the enthusiastic youth.

After the rally, an entertainment programme began with a prayer dance by the Sacred Heart Students Home, candidates. Arvin Moras, the ICYM president welcomed the gathering and Shiny D’ Souza the Secretary read out the report. Fr Simon, the ICYM Director of Belthangady deanery appreciated the works and achievements of the Youth of Madnthayar. Stephen Quadres, the Professor of Government Junior College, Honnavar gave a valedictory message encouraging the youth how to cope with modern challenges and look abreast of times. Appreciating the good works done by the youth, r. Lawrence Mascarenhas, the president, enthused the youth to extend their helping hand to all.

Fr Clifford Pinto, Fr Praveen D Souza, the Assistant Parish Priest of Madanthyar , Sr Reshma, the Lady Animator of Youth, Sr Violet Pinto, the superior of Sacred Heart Students’ Home, Gregory Sera. Vice president and Ronald Sequeira , the secretary of Pastoral Council, Arun D’ Souza, the ICYM President of Belthangady Deanery , Arvin Moras, the President and Shiny D’ Souza the Secretary of ICYM Madanthyar were present on the dais. Sudesh Miranda proposed the vote of thanks. Rohan D’ Souza conducted the programme.

R J Anurag , the famous Red FM 93.5, compère, introduced the items of the variety show. The Altar servers and the Youth of the Parish entertained the gathering with their fabulous dances. The Tulu comedy show was the main attraction of the colourful stage. The concluding programme ‘Kailatho’, the message skit on brotherhood and forgiveness was enacted by the ‘Therne kalakar’ of Madanthyar (ICYM Members). It is the master work of Tyson D’ Cunha the ICYM member.
