Bantwal: Bike rider sandwiched between bus, Omni critically injured

Bantwal, Feb 6: The rider of a motor bike suffered critical injuries after his vehicle got sandwiched between a Maruti Omni vehicle and a private bus at Maira in Kepu village near Vittal in the taluk on Friday February 5.

Manohar (25), a resident of Vittal, was injured in this accident. Manohar was trying to overtake the Omni, when a private approached him from the opposite direction. He got stuck between these two vehicles. He was then shifted to a private hospital at Puttur by an ambulance, with the help of local people.

As the traffic on the road suffered, Vittal police went there, and cleared the road of the three vehicles. A case stands registered about the accident at Vittal station.
