Udupi, Feb 7: In yet another accident, a man was seriously injured after a bus hit him while he was washing hands at a petrol bunk near Karavali Junction here on Sunday February 7.
The driver escaped from the spot soon after accident.
The Anchal bus was plying from Mangaluru to Udupi had been parked at the petrol bunk near Karavali Junction. It is said that another bus driver got in and started it. He lost control of the bus and hit a man who was washing hands. The man jumped over the boundary wall and fell into the premises of an adjacent bar.
The bus also hit the boundary wall and damaged it.
The man, whose identity is not yet known, was rushed to a private hospital.
Udupi traffic police have registered a case. The bus driver is absconding.
