Mangaluru, Feb 8: Two persons landed in hospital after a fight erupted between them while playing at Prakashnagar, Pandit House in Ullal here on Monday February 8.

Mohammed Abid (25) of Prakashnagar and Sunil (23), a local were injured in the incident and admitted to a hospital in Thokkottu.

It is said on Sunday February 7, over 20 youths gathered at the cricket ground and played housie housie. During the play, arguments arose between two persons identified as Kalander and Vajresh alias Chinnu. The others intervened and calmed them down.

The matter seemed to have resolved on Sunday, but on Monday, Sunil is said to have brought it up again and questioned Kalander about it. Kalander in turn informed his friend Abid.

On Monday evening, Abid took up the matter with Sunil and arguments arose between them. The quarrel quickly snowballed into a full-fledged fight, with each hitting the other with stones. Both were then admitted to a private hospital in Thokkottu.

The incident took a communal turn and tension prevailed at the spot for sometime. Ullal police deployed additional security outside the hospital in Thokkottu and brought the situation under control.

Ullal police have registered two cases, one from each party.

    Shankaranna,

Dada punpar! Why do wish blood shed?

Do you remember what a Swamy Sarwasati had said few days back :

“Blood donation is a noble cause which saves lives of a needy, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or area,”
Rest of the reaction, we all know.
