Udupi: Hit by car, pedestrian killed on highway near Saligrama

Udupi, Feb 9: After a car hit a pedestrian on national highway 66 near the government higher primary school at Chitrapady near Saligrama in the taluk, a pedestrian lost his life.

Satish Herle (54), a local, was killed in the accident, which occurred on Monday February 8. The car which was moving towards Parampalli from Saligrama had knocked down the ill-fated pedestrian.

Immediately after the accident, Herle was moved to a private hospital at Brahmavar. However, the doctors who examined him pronounced him brought dead. A case about the accident was registered in Kota police station.
