Telugu actor Akhil turns auto driver for a cause

Hyderabad, Feb 10 (IANS): Actor Akhil Akkineni on Tuesday drove an auto-rickshaw as part of a fundraising event organised by an NGO here.

As part of the charity, Akhil drove an auto-rickshaw to raise money for a seven-year-old boy, a chronic kidney patient.

"Akhil took the onlookers by surprise by driving the auto in the heart of the city. He made trips with passengers and donated the money along with everything else raised as part of the event to the boy's family," a source close to the actor told IANS.

Scores of fans gathered at the event to catch a glimpse of the young actor, who made his acting debut last year.

Akhil is the son of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna.
