Mangaluru, Feb 12: They stay under one roof but have decided to fight taluk panchayat (TP) election. Do not worry. They are not contesting against each other or from different parties. In fact they are contesting from different constituencies for a same political party.

Naushad Kalkatta is a Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) candidate from Kinya-Talapady constituency. Congress and BJP are his opponents. Sources say that BJP does not have much worry, But the Congress need to watch and act as Naushad is expected to eat into their votes.

His wife Sabina has decided to contest from nearby Manjanady constituency from SDPI. Incidentally Naushad had stood from this constituency in 2011 and had secured 759 votes which was a big achievement then. Sabina is a known name here. Opponents need to be cautious.

It is yet to be seen whether there will be two winners from a single house.
