Oman: Indian Pravasi Forum organizes Paigham-E-Rasool

Oman, Feb 13: Indian Pravasi Forum, Salalah organized 'Paigham-E-Rassol' (pbuh) on January 29. Suhas Alkemajalu, president of Indian Pravasi Forum, Salalah presided over the programme, which was held at the Conference Hall of Qadri, Sanayya. 






Mufti Haneef Ahrar Qasimi (general secretary of All India Imam Council) was the attraction of the function. while addressing the gathering he explained how the prophet (pbuh) campaigned to unite all groups of Bedouins/Pagans and was able to bring them together in a single row for prayer at the masjids of Makka and Madina. This campaign of the prophet is an all time model for Muslims.  He also focused on contemporary issues of Indian Muslims and urged them to pledge to develop the community in all directions.  In his keynote, he pointed out the need to have a vision for a better future now itself and impressed on unity in diversity, the feature of India.

Dr Akram Ali (president of Indian Social Club, Urdu Wing, Salalah) and Dr Khader Nawaz, asst professor at Dhofar University spoke to the audience. Shakeel (Indian Social Club, Kannada Wing, Salalah), Noushad (general secretary, Social Forum, Kerala Chapter, Salalah) and Fairoz (president of Social Forum, Karnataka Chapter, Salalah) were present on the dais.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of sports and games held for children and women on January 22 at the parks of Assa’a.

Sameer Santyar recited the Quran, Farooq Kannangar welcomed the gathering, Nasser Nandavar proposed the vote of thanks, Ishtiyaq of Odissa and Abeed Nandavar compered the programme. 

A huge number of expatriates participated during the occasion.
