Kerry Washington stands against sexual harassment in film trailer

Los Angeles, Feb 13 (IANS): “Scandal” actress Kerry Washington has taken on the role of another strong woman, and this time it's a real life character, in upcoming TV film "Confirmation".

Her portrayal of Oklahoma law professor Anita Hill, who accused Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment in 1991, can be seen in the first trailer for the TV movie, reports aceshowbiz.com.

The trailer captures her strong determination to bring out the truth amid intense media scrutiny and lies made up by the opposing party.

Hill's confession that she was a victim of Thomas's sexual harassment brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way of thinking about sexual harassment, victims' rights and modern race relations.

Apart from her, “Confirmation” also stars Wendell Pierce, Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Hudson, Jeffrey Wright and Eric Stonestreet.
