Joshi wants to raise watch issue in parliament, if no response from Siddu

Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (SP)

Belagavi, Feb 15: BJP state president and Dharwad MP, Pralhad Joshi, has urged Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah, to reveal who gifted him the diamond-studded wrist watch, and the reason behind presenting such a costly item.

"As per my information, this high value gift came from abroad. Siddaramaiah should reveal who gave this watch to him. If he had bought it, he should provide details of receipt. Otherwise, I will raise this topic in the parliament session and demand investigation through the enforcement directorate," he informed.

He recalled that national vice president of Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, frequently refers to the government headed by Narendra Modi as a government of suits and shoes. "I am eager to know in this background, what Rahul has to say about Siddaramaih’s wrist watch," he stated.

On his stand on Jawaharlal Nehru University incidents, he noted that Congress, which appears like having adopted the only aim of criticizing Modi on a continuous basis on all issues, has also been siding with people involved with sedition. "Everyone knows that Afzal Guru was a traitor. Who far raising slogans in his favour inside the university is right?" he wanted to know.

Joshi also came down heavily on Congress for politicizing Kalasa Banduri project issue. He recalled that the previous Goa government headed by chief minister, Rane, had dragged the issue to Supreme Court.

Let's not waste any more of our precious time, on 'Siddu's watch'.
We've already collectively lost not only seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, but also, 'Light Years', on this unproductive topic.

There are more important matters before our state, like distressed farmers, drought, corruption, maladministration, garbage crisis, pollution, etc., which require to be debated by all parties in the legislature and tackled unitedly (that is what these peoples' representatives were elected by us, in the first place).

Hope our leaders (they no more feel that they are public servants) change their approach, at least at this late hour.

BJP has no other important issues to raise in parliament. Who cares if CM has spent 20 crores on a watch? It is his own money or a gift. So what? BJP do something useful for the poor voters who have voted you. What they want to know where their next meal is coming from.
