Kasargod: Man arrested for allegedly murdering brother

Kasargod, Feb 15: A person from Uduma, who had suffered deep injuries after having been hit by his own brother, and was admitted into a hospital here, breathed his last on Saturday February 13. In connection thereto, the police personnel have changed the case from murder attempt to murder, and arrested the brother of the deceased.

Hariprasad (28) from Mangad in Uduma had died of head injuries. Bekal station police have now arrested Hariprasad's brother, Pavitran, for this murder.

It is said that Pavitran had hit Hariprasad's head hard with a wooden stick on the night of January 22 when Hariprasad was deep asleep. Hariprasad has suffered deep injury in his head in this attack. He was admitted into a private hospital at Mangaluru in critical condition.

Although the doctors tried to save him, Hariprasad died, without responding to treatments, on Saturday. It is said that there were differences between the brothers, in connection with which Pavitran had attacked his own brother.
