Bantwal, Feb 16: A candidate from SDPI contesting the upcoming taluk panchayat elections from Sajipamooda here was attacked with weapons by a group of miscreants on the night of Monday February 15.

The miscreants who came in bikes attacked Zakaria Malik (30), a resident of Kolake, Sajipamooda at a spot between Marnabail and Bogodi.

Zakaria was riding from Kolake to his in-laws' house in Bantwal when four persons came in two bikes and attacked him with swords and sped away.

Zakaria who sustained deep injuries in his left arm was admitted to a private hospital in Thumbay.

He had filed his nomination for the upcoming taluk panchayat elections from Sajipamooda as SDPI candidate. The entire day he was busy with canvassing and by evening, he left for his in-laws' house.

As news spread, hundreds of party activists gathered in front of the hospital in Thumbay.

Bantwal circle inspector Belliappa, Bantwal town SI Nandakumar, Bantwal rural SI Rakshith A K and other police personnel visited the incident spot as well as the hospital and registered a case.

I believe that this is pre planned drama by SDPI (Social Democratic PARTITION of India)to be carried out during the panchayat election and start the communal enclined war in the state.Police have to interrogate this matter thoroughly and do the needful justice for the people who seems to be believed on these goons.

Its very tough to digest the truth behind any such consequence.SDPI doesn't not have any morality to show themselves as a beneficial to the society.

CONGRESS IS THE BIGGEST ENEMY OF SDPI. BJP IS WATCHING AS A SPECTATOR.
DISTRICT IN-CHARGE MINISTER IS FROM CONGRESS.CHANCES ARE HIGH TO PROTECT THE CULPRIT.AS WELL SYMPATHY COUNTS. HOPEFULLY SDPI GET MORE VOTES BY SYMPATHY .SAJIPA IS STRONGHOLD OF SDPI TODAY. ONCE UPON A TIME SAJIPA WAS STRONGHOLD OF CONGRESS.NOW MOST OF THE CONGRESS PARTY MEN IN SDPI DUE TO IGNORANCE BY CONGRESS MINISTERS AND DISTRICT LEADERS.NOW THEY PAY FOR IT.STILL SDPI IS NEED 10-15 YEARS TO GET A SINGLE MLA.IT IS STILL A REGIONAL PARTY.STILL IT CAN BE A DECISION MAKER IN SOME MANDALA PANCHAYTH AND TALUK LEVEL ELECTIONS ,LIKE IT DID IN SAJIPA IN THE LAST ELECTION.IT SUPPORTED BJP TO KEEP CONGRESS OUT.

What These People want is clear, that he may withdraw his Nomination to panchayat.may be they have their own candidate to win?but methods are wrong with weapons. When a candidate wants to win at election, should be a popular and loving ones.should do something for the panchayat,or People who Needs help, but not with weapons and threatening the opposition. Police should take hard steps against such Rowdys.
