Bengaluru: CM's watch issue reaches governor's office now

Daijiworld Media Network-Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Feb 17: Time is not right for chief minister Siddaramaiah. The issue of him wearing an expensive watch has reached Raj Bhavan, the governor's office now. RTI activist S Bhaskaran has sent a petition to the governor asking his approval to prosecute the chief minister.

The petition addressed to Vajubhai Vala, the state governor states that “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has not mentioned about the gift of watch costing Rs 70 lac when he made the declaration of his wealth. When a politician buys a valuable item or when it is gifted to him, he is bound to make a declaration about it. But the chief minister has not furnished these details in the declaration he made to the Lokayuktha earlier."

Bhaskaran wants to know as to why no declaration was made regarding the same. He also wants approval from the governor to be able to go to court against the chief minister.

The expensive watch episode had remained only a debate issue so far. But after reaching the Raj Bhavan now and Lokayukta days back, chief minister has really landed in soup. Defeat of Congress in the just concluded by polls is the salt added to the wound.

Jannanna achieved many goals in recent past:-
    - Played a prominent role in forcing Mr. Modi for full disclosure about his marital status.
    - Siddaramaiah - Made mountain out of a molehill and brought awareness not to accept costly gifts.
( Effect : Congress is defeating congress – lost two seats in recent by election)
    - Yetthinahole - Fighting to do away with the project
    - Challenging Veerappa Moily in many fronts

Congress high command is watching keenly about recent developments. How they will react yet to be seen.

RG supporting Afzal ideologies, MMS has started speaking eventually but too late, Siddu after watch, J Pujari weekly silly press conference, V Moily bashing J Pujari. Soon Cong will be reduced to a regional party will be just a minor part of an alliance. With leaders like this Cong revival is tough luck.

    Boss
its already a regional party. Other than Karnataka & Kerala I guess one or 2 ruling states. in other states its 3 rd o 4th member is some lallu ullu alliance or 5th party in terms of its representation in assembly. Even in parliament they are not eligible for opposition leader place.
