Mangaluru, Feb 17: Two persons have been arrested for assaulting the police personnel on duty in the city on Tuesday, February 16.
Ganesh (30) from Kumpala and Chetan (32) from Capitanio are the persons arrested.
As per details of the case, Ganesh and Chetan were drunk and the vehicle occupied by them hit a vehicle belonging to the police department. The duo left the vehicle on the road itself obstructing the vehicular movement.
When the traffic police asked them to park the car on the side of the road, they did not agree. Instead they started arguing with the police personnel and during that time, they allegedly assaulted them.
The east traffic police station officers arrested Ganesh and Chetan and handed over to Bunder police station. Bunder police who registered the case are investigating further.
