Mangaluru, Feb 17: A woman lost valuables worth Rs 1, 50,000 in a hotel at Kavoor in city on Tuesday, February 16.
Varija (60) from Panjimogaru is the woman who lost her valuables.
Varija had come from Panjimogaru to Kavoor to a bank to get her ornaments back which she had pledged there. To pay that amount to teh bank, she had to avail a loan from a self help group. After getting the ornaments from the bank, she went to a hotel to have some tea.
After she had her tea, she went to wash basin to wash her hands. When she came back, she realised that her plastic bag containing ornaments kept under the table was missing. The thieves had taken the same while she was away from the table only for few moments.
Kavoor police have registered a case.
