Bagalkote: Man arrested for shouting pro- Pakistani slogans

Bagalkote, Feb 23: Police arrested a person for shouting pro-Pakistani slogans during a festival celebration on Monday, February22.

Devendrappa Lamani (30), an auto rickshaw driver, is the person arrested.

As per details, local Basaveshwara festival was celebrated at Motagi near here and when people were garlanding Basaveshwara idol, Devendrappa suddenly shouted pro-Pakistani slogans. People, who were taken by surprise, asked Devendrappa why he was shouting those slogans at that time. Police who were on the spot, immediately arrested Devendrappa.

Police later said that Devendrappa admitted that he shouted the slogans just jokingly and there was no other motive behind his act.
