Abu Dhabi, Feb 24: Mangalore Cup 2016 (Season-4) over arm cricket tournament will be held under the auspices of the MCC (Mangalorean Cricket Club) at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Ground, on March 4.
The tournament is open to only Indian players. It will be a 6 over match played with a hard tennis MRI ball.
MCC president Lathif K H addressing the media said, “This is our fourth consecutive year of MCC tournaments. We have received immense support from cricket lovers and Kannadigas of United Arab Emirates for the last 3 seasons. We are expecting more teams and crowds to come this year.
Many delegates will be participating in the opening and prize distribution ceremonies. A book on 'MCC Milestones' will be released at the event. Entertainment and lucky draw prizes will be given to the spectators.
The winners will be awarded a trophy and a cash prize of AED 8,000 while the runners-up will earn a trophy and cash prize of AED 5,000.
Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Man of the series, best batsman, best bowler, best keeper, best fielder, best all-rounder, and best catcher, man of the match in the final and man of match in every league match.
