Puttur, Feb 25: In a statement, Divyajeevana Trust, which runs an Ashram, 'Ananda Kuteera' at Kemmayi on the outskirts of the town, stated that the Ashram officials have been informed that a recent raid jointly conducted by policemen from Andhra Pradesh and criminal investigation department was backed by wrong information.

"Divine personality, Bhagawan Rabbinityanandam, was living this Ashram. Bhagawan when alive, had preached the noble principle of harmonious coexistence between all religions, and the Ashram steadfastly follows this principle. The police raided the spot on the basis of misinformation provided to them about the administration of Divyajeevana Trust. During the raid on February 14, the policemen found that the information they had about the trust was wrong, and hence they went back," it said.

The trust said that it is guided purely by spiritual guidelines and that it works to imbibe values for which Mahatma Gandhi stood for. It said that the Ashram does not allow any clandestine or secret operations on its premises and it does not differentiate between people on the basis of their castes and religions. It stated that the trust is neither involved with any friction with any group nor is it too much attached to anyone.
