Kundapur, Feb 25: Karnataka state government NPS employees association, taluk's unit held a protest in front of Kundapur Mini Saudha on Tuesday February 23. They said that the payment of pension under NPS system is irregular and urged that the NPS system be abolished and the previous fixed pension system should be followed.

“The government has announced the new system of payment of pension without providing security for the amount invested by the employees and the government. The new system has pushed the last years of the
life of workers towards insecurity. Besides that the new pension system will distance the relationship between the government and the employees,” they stated in the petition.

The employees warned that the association will inevitably intensify their protests in stages if the demands to provide security for the money of the employees and the government are not implemented.

The protests were led by Kundapur taluk NPS employees association president Harish Kumar Shetty. District president Raghava Shetty, taluk executive secretary Ganesh Shetty Molahalli, district convener
Harish H Poojary and Kundapur government employees association president Dinaker Shetty were present.
