MLA Ravindra holds Parameshwara Naik responsible for poll debacle

Daijiworld Media Network - Ballari (SP)

Ballari, Feb 26: Harapanahalli MLA, M P Ravindra, accused Ballari district in-charge minister, P T Parameshwara Naik, of failing to capitalize on the good work of the Congress government in the state. He also said that the minister had been unsuccessful in taking party activists into confidence and leading them in an affective manner.

Addressing media persons at Hagaribommanahalli on Thursday, Ravindra said that the Congress had bright chances of winning the zilla and taluk panchayat elections on the basis of good governance provided by the state government. He said that the district president of the party and district in-charge minister had failed to convert the good opportunity that was at their disposal to party's advantage. He also expressed resentment at the fact that he was not consulted even for courtesy before issuing tickets to party candidates.

"I belong to this taluk. Still, they found it proper not to consult me on ticket allotment, nor did they invite me for election campaigning. They seem to be not feeling the need for my participation. Perhaps because of their attitude, followers of M P Prakash seem to be alienating with other forces," he reasoned.
