Mangaluru, Feb 29: "When our soldiers like Lance Naik Hanumanthappa and others are sacrificing their lives for nation, educated fools at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi are shouting anti-national and pro-Pakistan slogans. How can the souls of our matryred soldiers rest in peace when such slogans are being raised?" said Hindu Yuva Sene state in-charge Nikhitraj.

He was speaking at Hindu Samavesha (convention) organized by Hindu Yuva Sene at Kavoor here on Sunday February 28. A new branch of Hindu Yuva Sena named 'Om Namo' was inaugurated on the occasion. The convention was inaugurated by Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Gurudevadatta Samsthanam, Odiyoor and Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Math.

Lashing out at those who raised anti-India slogans in JNU, Nikhitraj said, "If you are angry at the BJP, it is not wrong. You can shout slogans and hold rallies against the BJP. If you want to shout slogans against Hindu Dharma, you can do that too. But these communists want to shout slogans against the nation - who gave them the right? If you are angry with the Modi-led government you should vent anger against the government, but you are doing it against the nation. Though you have shouted slogans against the nation, your tongues are still left free. This shows how tolerant we are. Can you find such tolerance anywhere in the world?

"There are Hindus in Pakistan, America, Germany and other parts of the world. Do they shout slogans against the land they are living in? We do not have voice here," he added.

Referring to JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar who was arrested on charges of sedition, Nikhitraj said, "Kanhaiya is another name of lord Krishna, and with this name he shouts slogans agianst Bharat. We are pro-Hindutva people who love our country. We will eliminate anti-national activities."

On the attack on BJP leader Subramanian Swamy by Congress workers, he said, "Subramanian Swamy was attacked with tomatoes and eggs because he said JNU should be renamed after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. They could not throw tomatoes and eggs during UPA government due to the hike in prices of these commodities then.

"People of India have been hurt by what happened at JNU. The students of JNU are being supported by tax payers' money and they are shouting slogans against India. We should urge the government to rename JNU after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. All Jihadis and Naxals in the JNU should be identified and sent to jail," he demanded.

Targetting the Congress government, he said, "When sub-inspector Mallikarjun Bande was shot dead, the saffron organizations had demanded CBI probe. When ANF trooper Naveen Naik shot a cattle thief (referring to the death of Kabeer near Sringeri), the government slapped a case against him while the thief was given Rs 10 lac as compensation. Now we have a government at the centre that represents Hindutva. For 10 years Sonia Gandhi ruled in the name of Manmohan Singh. Now a pro-Hindutva government is in power."

"The world respects Prime Minister Modi and it is a matter of pride and honour to India, but some people here see him as an RSS man or communal," he added.

Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Sri Gurudevadatta Samsthanam, Odiyoor said, "Organizations like Om Namo should come up in all villages. Anti-nationalists are venemous snakes and they should be kept away. Youth should come forward to build a strong nation. Hindu Dharma is eternal and it has no end. Dharma should be implemented for social good."

Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Math said, "Unfortunately in our Bharat, there are slogans being raised against India and in support of Pakistan. Hindus are not second rate citizens. There are no government facilities or benefits for majority. Benefits like 'Shaadi Bhagya' are given only to minorities.
Those who were working sincerely have become unemployed because of schemes like 'Anna Bhagya'. People who were coming to our district from Raichur and Bidar in search of work have stopped doing so now.

"Ironically, those who possess good names are against our culture, for instance Prof K S Bhagawan says the Bhagavad Gita should be burned, while Kanhaiya (another name for lord Krishna) is raising anti-national slogans and unfortunately our political representatives are saying he should be released.

"Patriotism is necessary. KFD and PFI are trying to divide the Hindu society by feeding poison into people's minds. All Hindu organizations are under one umbrella. The party (Congress) which is anti-Hindu was eliminated from Moodbidri and Karkala in the recent zilla panchayat elections and political representatives who termed the slain Prashant Poojary as 'goonda' and 'communal' for fighting against cattle slaughter have been defeated. Even in next election people will send them home," he added.

Sharan Pumpwell, Satyajit Suratkal and Jagadish Shenava also spoke on the occasion.

Chief priest of Kavoor Mahalingeshwara Temple Vedamurthy Shrinivas Bhat, honorary president of Hindu Yuva Sena Bhaskar Shetty and others were present.
