Karkala, Feb 29: A woman from Shivapura village near Hebri ended her life by hanging herself at her husband's home on the night of Saturday February 28.
The victim, Rajeshwari (35), who was born and brought up in Uppunda village in Kundapur taluk, had been married to a person from Shivapura about ten years back. Her husband, Shekhar, and other family members were fast asleep when Rajeshwari committed suicide, it is said.
The woman hanged herself from the roof beams of a discarded old house by the side of the family residence. Her relative, Sandeep, in a complaint filed in Hebri police station, has expressed doubts about the real cause of her death. Hebri police have registered a case and started investigating.
