Media Release

Jubail, Mar 1: Every citizen of India is required to stand firmly on his/her feet in order to fight against ongoing intolerance, lawlessness and inequality in India. This political struggle of the Indian citizen is led by the Social Democratic Party of India. In this situation we need to strengthen our struggle even though we have a secular democratic system in our country. Nobody should stand on their knees against the fascist forces, said Elyas Muhammad Thumbay, National General Secretary of SDPI.

Elyas Muhammad Thumbay was speaking as chief guest at the public program ‘Stand On Your Feet Not On Your Knees’ organized by Indian Social Forum, State Committee in Cookxon Auditorium, here. These days Indian government is being run by corporate forces and fascist forces. This government has deprived the eating, talking rights and right of acquiring law of the common man. This regime has superimposed its brutality on dalits, minorities, liberals and backward classes. It is the obvious characteristic of dictatorship rule.

In this critical situation Social Democratic Party of India is trying to fill the courage and improve the morale of the people across India, said Elyas Muhammad Thumbay.

Salim Davangere, vice president of Indian Social Forum, Karnataka presided over the program and encouraged people to join hands with Indian Social Forum. The other guests on the dais were, Wasim Ahmad, central committee president, Indian Social Forum, Salim Udupi, Jubail committee president, Ashraf Kulur, president of India Fraternity Forum, Karnataka Chapter-eastern province.
