Puttur, Mar 2: Mustafa Perne, Uppinangady block general secretary of Popular Front of India (PFI) clarified that none of the six people who attacked journalist, Asif Saralikatte, were activists of PFI.
He termed this attack as a heinous crime and condemned the incident. He claimed that certain quarters are trying to project the accused as members of PFI with the purpose of sullying its reputation. He added that these allegations are baseless.
In a release, Mustafa called upon the concerned to conduct detailed investigation about the incident and take appropriate legal steps against the guilty.
