Mangaluru, Mar 3: "The remarks by Nupur Sharma against the Congress party and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi during the 'Anti-Nationals should Quit' programme organized by Sangh Parivar through its ABVP wing in the name of 'Rashtra Jagruti Samiti' at Town Hall were condemnable and uncalled for," said All India Congress Committee (AICC) member P V Mohan.

Addressing a press meet to condemn the recent remarks by BJP Yuva Morch national media co-convenor Nupur Sharma during Rashtra Jagruti Samiti programme on the JNU row in the city, P V Mohan said, "The remarks against Congress and Rahul Gandhi were unprovoked and unnecessary. Congress party has a history of 130 years and it is a party that fought against the British and brought Independence to India. It is a party that governed India for 49 out of the 69 years since Independence. It is Congress that laid the foundation for India's development into a strong nation.

"However, now, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the centre is thrusting its secret agenda of dividing the country and spreading hate through ABVP in Jawarharlal Nehru University (JNU), Hyderbad Central University and other institutes and universities in the country. People are watching the way students are being provoked to revolt against the Constitution, rebel and commit sedition," he alleged.

"BJP has planned a conspiracy to establish its cultural control in all the central institutes in the country on an experimental basis and then spread it to other universities. They are taking up the project of Hindu Rastra in the name of nationalization through universities.

"BJP after coming to power is making all out efforts to bring education under its control. It is using its power to suppress activities that it does not like in institutes of higher education. We condemn it. Sangh Parivar are pathological liars. Congress party will oppose it every step.

"ABVP is a student organization that believes in violence. It does not believe in dialogue, discussion and democratic India's Constitution. Hindu Maha Sabha members are celebrating Republic Day as black day. What type of patriots are those? They are building a temple in the name of Gandhiji’s killer Nathuram Godse. Don’t they adore him as a hero? Are they not country's predators? BJP which is ruling in Jammu Kashmir sharing power with PDP which calls Afzal Guru a martyr. PDP has never called him a terrorist or a traitor.

"Lab test has disclosed that two of the videos on JNU student Kanhaiya are doctored. You are arresting people based on laws of the British era. Don’t you feel ashamed to do drama of patriotism? Do you have moral right to speak against Congress? People in the country know about Congress. Rahul Gandhi's grandfather Nehru spent eleven years in jail for the country. His father Motilal Nehru participated in non-cooperation movement and salt Satyagraha. He has gone to prison twice. Indira Gandhi also had spent ten months in prison.

"We strongly object if you (union government) create atmosphere of unrest by thrusting your intention of dividing the district of students.

Now that Kanaiya Kumar is out on bail, Nupur Sharma must come to Mangaluru again to wail how the court could release a dangerous person like him.

Being a lawyer, she should at-once storm the court that passed his bail application and prove with proof why he is fit inside a jail.

supporting anti national activists and their actions is also an anti national act boss. Please. Don't bring politics here. If you have guts please talk to your high command, educate them that whole nation is watching them on this shameful act of supporting JNU students who has the clear agenda of India's Barbaadi. So, please... forget your high command or your sweet mom and son called pappu... keep them aside, at least you people have some face on this subject . either support the central govt who are trying to stop these anti national activities or at least be silent... don't bark unnecessary.

    Readwriter007,

You put your observation on the following text :
    Quote

The lab said footage of a day gathering (Q1) where JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar is shouting slogans and Umar Khalid is standing next to him, appears to have an "audio stream (that) is not a part of the originally recorded video" while Q5 - footage of a protest on the night of February 9 - shows "several utterances have either been d or ed".
    Unquote

I guess you too may have gone to a college at some time of your life when there may have been instances nobody listened to what you actually want. Imagine if some political bigwig had supported your pleas then ? JNU students and Kanaiya Kumar feel the same no matter what you think about it.
