21-year-old bike rider gets hit by lorry at Murdeshwar, dies

Bhatkal, Mar 3: A youth was killed on spot while a lorry hit a bike on N H 66 near Murdeshwar near here on Thursday, March 3.

Lokesh Manjunath Moger (21) is the person deceased.

Lokesh was riding from Manki to Murdeshwar on his Apache Bike when the lorry, with Gujarat registration, moving towards Karwar hit him.

Pillion rider Shridhar Madiwala (21) has suffered minor injuries.

A case stands registered at Murdeshwar police station.

My simple advise to riders if you hold the handle tight and if the bike fitted with protecting bar, these kind of deaths can be reduced. When someone comes under wheels even God may not help.

There has been too many bike-vehicle accidents of late on highways. There are many reasons for this. Either it is the fault of the driver of the vehicle or the bike rider. May the soul of Lokesh Manjunath Moger rest in eternal peace and condolences to his bereaved families and loved ones. I also wish a speedy recovery of Sridhar Madiwala.
