    Rest in peace brother!!
I pity those who find this amusing and find the time or need to criticize the ones who are suffering instead of praying for them or at least keeping quite . Humanity seems to be coming to an end .
Bad luck can strike anyone , anytime and I think everyone should keep that in mind .

    Totally agree Aswin.

The parents are neither in the Gulf nor in any Western country and thus there is no flow of unnecessary money that came his way.
His parents are very hard working, dignified Doctors and his sister and him are very well raised. He was a very well behaved boy too.
Freedom of speech do not mean - the people around can talk just about anything that comes to your mind.

If not pray at least have mercy on the poor soul.

Mathew is in heavenly abode and may his soul rest in eternal peace!

It could have been one of us - please thank God it was not one of you!!!

Respect your thoughts Santosh Shetty, rest who are commenting are such sick , assuming is more than accepting the incident, let them have drinks more or less, why will that bother you'll? If your so concerned then pray for them instead of criticizing them, you people act like you never got drunk in you entire life, looking at the below comments can make out people are very free to comment on others life, instead of settling their own prob at home.

Such a sad accident. They seem to have, had too much drinks and went on a drive whereby the driver lost control and hit the pole. It seems, from the picture, the driver was turning right without seeing the pole. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured.

Parents work in the Gulf and send enough money thinking and taking pride that their children are going to become doctors and naturally so. Majority of keralites drink but this time luck was not with them. Good they did not kill poor pedestrians on the road.

Medical students, from Kerala, that too coming from Bar surely there is no doubt they lost control. Kerala youngster often loose control in Mangalapuram. Because most of them money supply from Arab or other western countries. So with money power they tried to test how strong Mangalore Light poles are.

He's a friend of mine. His parents are hard working people. He's in a very seriously injured state and the only thing you can say is a joke.Maybe he made a mistake maybe not.The only thing that should matter is that when a fellow human being is not well you pray for them instead of mocking him and his parents.Grow a conscience.Heard the phrase karma's a bitch.

The quantum of accident is directly proportional to the pegs of whisky and rum...
    I have read somewhere...
    Well the article states...
'The students had food at a bar'...!
Very considerate and kind this Daiji article writer.
The same news in a Kannada evening paper would have read....
'Sari Gundu Yerisi'..Kaaru Chalayisi..and all that...

    Sir John....
Looking at the bottle (in pic)...They too take a swig...want to press agree ..and in any case no control...so hand sways and presses disagree...
    Simple....
Accidents happen it seems while drinking so why not disagree instead of agree while doing the same thing?
    got the gist?
