Celebrities 'heartbroken' over Joey Feek's death


Los Angeles, March 5 (IANS): Hollywood celebrities have paid a heartfelt tribute to late singer Joey Feek, who died due to cervical cancer on Friday.

Celebrities like Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood took to Twitter to pay tribute to Feek by posting emotional messages to mourn her death, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"So sad to hear about Joey's passing," Shelton tweeted. 

"Praying for the family and friends of Joey Feek. A beautiful soul moved into heaven today. A beautiful legacy she left behind," Underwood wrote. 

Singer Kimberly Perry also sent her condolences. 

"Heartbroken by the passing of the beautiful Joey Feek and completely inspired by the way she lived every minute. Full of love and life," she added. 

American music group Eli Young Band posted: "Joey Feek, a strong and beautiful woman! We've always looked forward to seeing you & Rory both! You will be missed!"

Feek, 40, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May 2014, just four months after giving birth to daughter Indiana.
