Kundapur, Mar 5: Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Saturday March 5 orgnanized a bike rally in front of Thekkatte High School here, ahead of the Virat Hindu Samajotsava scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 6.
Mumbai-based businessman Rathnakar Shetty of Badamane Giliyaru flagged off the bike rally.
In all, 121 bikes participated in the rally.
The rally reached Thekkatte via Kota, Saligrama, Manooru and Kundapur. Tight security was in place for the rally.
VHP district president Baikadi Suprasad Shetty, Udupi district co-convener Girish Kundapura, taluk convener Santhosh Kundapura, Thekkatte Vishwa Hindu Parishat president Rajath Thekkatte, Thekkatte Bajrang Dal convener Srinath Shetty, Belve Vasanth Shetty and others participated.
