Site rule violation - Governor receives complaint against Justice Nayak

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Mar 7: Some members of Janadhikara Parishat, a non-governmental organization, met state governor, Vajubhai Vala, and complained against Justice S R Nayak, who has been tipped to become the next state Lokayukta. A delegation of Parishat members held discussions with the governor and also handed over certain documents in support of their allegations, and the governor has sought some more details and clarifications, it is gathered.

The Parishat members told the governor about the complaint earlier filed by them with the Lokayukta against Justice Nayak about violation of layout bylaws, getting site allotted on the basis of fake documents, and misuse of power. They said that they are hurt by the fact that the Lokayukta has failed to take any action on the basis of their complaint so far.

President of the Parishat, Adarsh Iyer, said that they have appraised the governor about their complaint, and also told him that the Lokayukta had failed to take any action thereof. "The governor has assured to summon all relevant documents from concerned departments and check all the facts before acting on it," he added.

It would be another setback for the Siddaramaiah government in the state if the governor does not approve Justice Nayak's choice for the post of the state Lokayukta. In the past, he had declined to approve the name of Justice K L Manjunath when his name was proposed by the chief minister for the post of Upa Lokayukta.

Entire India not even "one person" found eligible to head the Lokayukta!!!?

But who is there without blemish?
Since Justice S. Hegde was eligible earlier, change the rule and give him a second term.
That is the only answer now.

I think we can use the fingers on our hands to count the honest ones...

I am expecting some new faces as Justice Nayak already performed / given chance as Chief of Karnataka Human Right Commission as well as Law Commission. Again as Chief of Lokayukta - it does not look nice. I have interacted with him when he was Chief of Karnataka Human Right Commission, lodge complaint, still I am waiting for the justice. For any one accountability ( time limit) should be there for any one. I am urging all commissions should come out with statistics of performance.

With respect to Justice Nayak appointment as Lokayukta that the age factor also matters. So I prefer some else for this important post.

Some forces which are against Nayak's appointment may be scheming to materialize their agenda.
