I don't think the passengers from Kuwait were benefited with this new flight. One flight timing from Kuwait is 20:35 and reaches Mumbai at 03:00 and from Mumbai to Mangalore is 9:00. The other flight from Kuwait is 00:30 and reaches Mumbai at 7:00 and from Mumbai to Mangalore 14:10. In both cases more than 6 hours have to wait in Mumbai. I don't think the new flight timing is benefited for Kuwait passengers.

Krishna, Karkala, You have suggested most valuable point. It will help thousands on daily basis. If it comes into action....it will be a big boon! I bet...taxi mafia will never let it happen!!!
Major draw back of Mangalore is public transport connectivity. Regular luxury buses from Bjpe to Udupi and Manglore will be invaluable facility if provided.
Can we expect at least a bus terminal at airport????

Shuttle Bus service will make huge impact in Taxi Drivers of Airport. Because its an their daily bread hunt job. Even if these bus will introduce, unless airport have an direct flight for other country, buses will never full & most of the passengers from Village section of both district.

very good suggestion krishnaji, taxi fares are very much high, sometime equal to airfare. I intend, that the govt. ksrtc buses may also start such service on trial basis, and more ksrtc buses service within mangalure city manglure /udupi/ karkala/kundapur. so that people get the choice. manglure city having railway, seaport and int. airport and facility of buses should like bangalure.

Good Move, But pricing remains a concern. If you give tickets at affordable prices, we mangaloreans will prefer to travel in flights. Best of Luck.

I don't think, new Mangalore to Mumbai flight schedule will help for GCC country Passenger. Because its in odd timing. Better to introduce direct flight from Mangalore to Kuwait, so that Mangalore Passengers can spend less time of journey, rather than wasting time in Mumbai for Domestic Connection.
